At conception, onto my zygote lays etched
A stamp, engraved, carved, inscribed
By genes, but from the blind, masked
Irreversible ‘n fated
Permanent ‘n forged
Diverse but unique
Irrevocable ‘n gorged
With love, soaked
From Nature’s largess
Bountiful, limitless
But zombies stay thankless
Genomes forge, with diversity creatures teem
Skin, noses, lips, hair, ears, eyes, spleen
Enticing, fixed, then repulsed, decried
By human gods, haughty, cruel, self-styled
Self-inventors, fellow beings they defile
Claiming glory, for acts of nature
Chastising cores, debasing states of being
Insanely lynching
Sadistically butchering
The old or budding
By millions perishing
Wantonly enslaving
For traits deemed wrongdoing
Save their own, of favors deserving
Recreating gods, shifting cores --- commoners to kings
To each, a private god for pieties of whims
Kneeling, howling, praying, hate bursting seams
Victims nor assailants, their traits won’t yield
Yet one tortures, the other maimed
Genes beget myriad tin gods with license
Reinventing makers, with rules ‘n violence
Decreeing freedoms, ruined by tenets
Bowing to gods, kneeling to self, prides inflate
Egos explode as essences wither, fellows to hate
Genomes create, infinitely creative beings
Loathing countless traits ordained by genes
Just like those molding haters’ traits
Traits immutable, now made indictable
But for victims, not the culpable
Both impotent in altering lifelong traits
Yet the haughty will crush
As their victims suffocate
Yet still, transcendence is on hand
Using hearts as soldiers
Fighting hate with love ‘n esteem
Accepting fixed features
Resist urges to loathe
Rewarding self with love
