Segolene

I can\'t love

I stand there waiting impatiently,

Fingers crossed he won\'t forget me.

Unknown to me he sulks in the shadows,

Dreaming of trees ,flowers and meadows,

Me and him hand in hand,

Walking through a perfect land.

Instead we meet in this graveyard.

He steps out and catches me off guard.

Takes a step a professes his love to me.

My eyes are open but i can barely see.

My hand flies to my mouth.

My whole world turns south.

I allowed a man to fall in love with me.

While my lover and master is out at sea.

I guess i\'ve become a heart breaker,

Making craters

In peoples hearts ,love and soul.

Mine were stolen by the sailor to call his own.

He stole my heart when we danced that night.

He stole my love when he buried my fright,

Between his hugs and kisses,

When i turned into his misses.

He stole my soul when i found them-

Them being the women who lay with him-

If he stayed i may of forgiven,

But he flew away like a pigeon

Being chased by a cat,

Then ran on to a ship like a rat.

So I can\'t possibly say \"I do\"

Because what will he do? i haven\'t got a clue!
