London

Twisted In The Night

Her love stretched beyond time.
The words of her heart held a rhyme.
A beating heart once full of hope,
Shattered in despair and tied up with boundless rope.
Eyes of wonder darkened with pain,
No one could hear her cry-it was like acid rain.
Lovely and poised once was her game,
Taken too young,
Engulfed with pain.
The caged bird no longer sang.
The church bells no longer rang.
A heart beat as quiet as the morning dew drops,
Her breath was like the mist on the mountain tops.
She sat.....alone...
Invisible and unknown.

Shattered she fell....

Down to the depths of hell.

Waiting for an angel who would never come.
That was her last heart beat.
She was done.
