I shoot the Hippopotamus
With bullets made of platinum,
Because if I use leaden ones
His hide is sure to flatten 'em.

I remember stumbling upon this particular piece as a child, and it still brings a smile to my face. The image of tackling a seemingly invincible obstacle with unconventional means is told so whimsically, yet leaves you with a subtle hint of a serious undertone. The blending of humor, wit and meaning leaves a lasting impact. Brings back many childhood memories.
