To forgive in the mess of abuses,

To keep promises,

To tolerate offences and quarrels,

To be a squirrel*.

That is how to be good.

 

*A squirrel reminds us to communicate effectively with others and to honor those around us with our presence (rather than dishonor them with inappropriate or rude behavior).

    Squirrels are really good at communicating effectively. When my dad was a wee lad he ran over squirrel and let out a chuckle. Not only did the rest of the squirrels know who he was, they now also know that I am his son... I have to be careful, REAL careful...

      Thanks for your comment, Benson. Nice to hear that someone did have a positive contact with squirrels. According to the animal symbolism, a squirrel presupposes socializing as well. I'm not an expert in this sphere, but I'm interested in our ancestors' beliefs and prejudices.
