WHAT WENT WRONG

zabrinahurst

Not sure where things may have went wrong

Somehow you sailed away,

Just the thought of you, I continue to sing a song

Wanting you more and more, until this day.

Obviously, the things I said, hurt you in a disturbing way

I apologize, wishing I can take it back,

Overwhelmed by the cold shoulder, given everyday

I was given an offer and now my bags has been packed.

Crying on the inside, I continue to do

Mysteriously wanting you, yet you don't feel the same,

Disappearing acts, I can hardly bare, only because I adore you

Keeping it 100% is what you asked of me, but whose the one to blame.

I'm not gone tell a lie, my feelings are mad and deep

Even-though  we only have short versions of conversations,

The doors are now opened, timing reveals how soon we will creep

The sight of you and the scent of your smell, gives my heart appreciation.

Cherishing each moment with you in the dark

Only visible at work, with presence that's not so long,

Just a walk amongst the stones, with a soft breeze in the park

I will always have love for you, despite if things has went wrong.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE POEM ZABRINA - with a consistent rhyme pattern abab cdcd etc which give it great flow and makes it lovely to read and even more lovely to recite. Your poem explores the agony (and in some extent the ecstasy) of unrequited love. All adults share your experiences and your last line evoked sad memories ! I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THIS LOVE FOR YOU - DESPITE IF THINGS HAS GONE WRONG - Yours Brian
