A Broken Love Story

rwatson127

At night I look up,

Stars light the darken skies,

In the day I look down,

As tears fill my eyes,

Lost without you,

forgotten is true,

As memories begin to fade,

It occurs to me, the only one lost Is you....

  • Comment from author about the poem: Wrote this after a brake up and after wondering for so long what I did wrong and believing so much that I lost her. It occurred to me that sometimes we don't lose people. They lose us. It's not always our fault. So even though I loved you so much sweetheart. I didn't lose you. You lost me...Still, I wish you the best Love.....

HI RW - WELCOME TO My Poetic side ! Nice site - awesome poems - interesting poets. Loved your first poem because although it is full of the angst of "lost love" there is light at the end of the tunnel (poem) "It occurs to me - the only one lost is you ......" You mention this is your comment !I didn't lose you - you lost me ..... ! That is my experience too in essence we both lose each other in a broken relationship ! Your poem has rhyme & rhythm which makes a pleasure to read and recite - Thanks for caring & sharing - BRIAN

Thank you, for taking the time to read my poem. True, we are all victims of lost love. But yet are blessed for having experienced it at all. Look forward to reading some of yours and sharing more of my own...
