Reflection

Ally.dale_10

Looking in the mirror
She couldn’t stand her reflection.
The thing that she saw
Didn’t see her back.

She saw through the makeup
And the fake smiles.
She felt through the warm embraces
And the compliments.

Looking into the reflection

Was something she didn’t
Recognize from an inch away.
A stranger taking over her body.

She was disgusted by the masses
On her skin that drew away the perfection.
She hated the extra inches around herself.

She was beautiful, and she didn’t know it.
