Where Are You?

QueenZ Lia Hall

Where are you every time I need you?

You aren’t with me, so please tell me who.

You were the only one I trust,

So my needing you is a must.

When I shed my tears, I am suddenly weak,

Why can’t you just comfort me and turn the other cheek.

I need you now,

But you make it so difficult for me to tell you how.

I am so afraid to reach out to you,

But I hold my breathe until I turn blue.

I have always said that you were my best friend,

But sooner than later things with have to end.

You tell that you are not the one to help me through my pain,

Then why be together when there is nothing to gain.

You have broken my heart so many times before,

Now I just need the strengthen to show you the door.

Once I am done expressing what I need to free from my soul. You will see happier things from me. This is my healing process. Thanks for understanding that. xoxo

Sounds like something out of "For Colored Girls". The pain of loving someone who is emotionally detached. Personal experience? Not judging. We've all been there at some point. Knowing that you should let go and actually letting go are two different animals. Blessings to you, sis.

What is "For Colored Girls"? Yes this a personal experience. My poetry is based on things that I have went through. Yes those are 2 different things and both very difficult things to do. Thank you for your feedback. Blessings to you also. xoxo
