Blank page

SilverXball

I'll lay here a while

Staring at the blank page

Pencil in hand

Mind urging me to draw

Draw your emotions

Draw the storm and sea

For the ones who have forgotten you

Draw the sun and trees

For the girl who gave you that red rose

Draw the lion

For the things taken from you

Draw the mountain tops and birds

For the freedom you never had

But don't forget the heart in two

For the love should have been yours

I guess I'll lay here a while

Thinking of which one stands out more

Pencil in hand

Perhaps it will never come to me

Maybe one day, I'll draw my death bed.
