A Cry of Life

John Lee

I can see how you'd lead me
through this life
Oh how it bled me

Leaving me cold and empty
with a little hope
In the end there is plenty

I just can't see afar
I need light
to shed the dark

You said to trust you
I do
inside I'm still blue

Where's the joy?
where's the new life?
where are you?

I confessed your name
ignoring the lies
I took the blame

My reward is shame
life of struggle
heart of pain

I reap what I've sown
with good measure
let me live the life you've shown

Oh hear my cry
show me the new life
or must I die?
