Collecting Imperfections

sabibdd

Collecting imperfections; this is what I am worth to you.

I am me, but flawed in your eyes.

For better or worse, till it bothers you.

You want me to conform and throw away my identity.

Whatever makes you happy baby, I just want you to be content.

I was me once, till I met you.

Smiles, promises, and social acceptance is what was expected of US.

Family events and holiday appearances makes our world go round.

Smile on the outside so they think we’re normal.

Not knowing you sold them a lie.

At first it all made sense, until you made me swallow your agenda.

Now here we are with nothing left but the mirage of perfection.
