A terrible lie

daniel dawes

There's a terrible lie in humanity,

One which rots its very core,

We all follow it but can't help it,

It's driving our world to destruction.

That is we need something to be happy,

This lie drives everything,

This mistake of addition is false,

These are confused times.

Let go of wanting!

I look past the lie,

I find the invisible door to escape,

Everyone's searching for this place,

A few understand we never left it.
