Blessings

Bay Wright

My blessings are unexplainable

like what lies beyond our galaxy.

My fortunes bridge the gap

between dreams and reality.

Imaginations cant imagine,

my love for those surrounding me.

Their love is like a rescue boat,

when life's storm reigns down on me.

Death would have ingested me,

if not for my parents.

Their constant guidance, love and wisdom

have made my fears seem transparent.

My father spent my whole life,

 sculpting me into a man.

Like Michael Angelo did David

I will amount to more than you planned.

My mom insured my dreams were just,

in a world that contradicted.

She showed me that if in God I trust,

I can be more than my dreams predicted.

To my brother I would give my life,

for me he'd do the same.

A friendship forged by blood.

We share the same last name.

Together we will tame our skills

and make friends of all our enemies.

Time has not provoked a War,

I wouldn't have you in the trench with me.

Oh how righteous is the Lamb

to have blessed me with boundless opportunities.

I shall humbly embrace my quest in life,

Till the day the heavens send for me.
