While Breathing

Bay Wright

I found peace while forgiving,
Eternal life while living.
I found brothers through fighting war,
and met God at Satans door.
When stranded i found hope,
Lost innocence in bomb smoke.
Ive come to see the beauty behind death,
Helping me realize the importance of each breath.
Ive learned behind everything theres a reason,
and that people change just like a season.
Ive developed my wisdom through Father Time,
And taught patience through waiting in line.
Ive seen the brightest light in the darkest of days.
And delt with the darkest evil amidst the suns rays
I was taught to never speak a hollow word,
and that some things in life are better left unheard.
Ive learned to not play with serpents unless you can handle their bite,
and that tough decisions can lead to sleepless nights.
There are countless directions we can head in life,
whats inevitable is our story ends by the reapers scythe,
