Love and other weird things

amelliawagg

Maybe it doesn't exist like it does in books,       it won't make your head spin or your heart hurt, and it's hardly ever forbidden.

It won't always be filled with passion or with hunger, and you don't really need them the way the moon needs the sun.

Maybe love is the ordinary acts,                       of kindness, of long looks and shy smiles.

Maybe we all just romanticize love, make it into something it's not.

But then again what would I know?

This is so true. Romance books and movies give us unrealistic expectations. Maybe we should all be grateful for what we have rather than think about all the ways it lacks in comparison to the books or movies.
