Severed Eyes

DezyraSatyre

Fallen in a memory,

Fled to a sanity..

where nothing pleads mercy,

Within a desecrated sanctuary.

Shrouding all around

A deadened veil follows your tainted masses,

Falling again through lusted Illusion,

Met at the bottom's hollowed glasses

And so we rise again

Never in relation to these forces that have overtaken.

Our revelation bounded by fear

Released by all they tear that is near

It's now their pleasure to witness

All that we have lost and denied

Holding your disguise

Beneath these severed eyes.

THANKS FOR SHARING DEZYRA ~ Today is Remembrance Day in the UK and it reads like a heartfelt tribute to all the millions who died in Battle to purchase our freedom. Every Blessing ~ Yours BRIAN

Dark poem in great sublime wording. The stark phrasing and word choice is also very poetic and eloquent. Kudos.

Pls do comment my latest poem too. I'm quite a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere or got sth from it until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.
