Sorrow again tomorrow

AnastasiaBeaverheusen

I feel the kind of sorrow that you cannot put into words

The kind that fills up the air around you

as you exhale

The kind that makes no room in your chest

as you inhale

The burden that weighs on your shoulders, crippling your spine

The pressure that crushes your mind, impairing you - blind

And I search to find, the reason why – or the person to whom apologize

The emptiness that grows inside – the building tears behind my eyes

My spirit burning without ashes – my heart melting without passion

But where can I go, to heal this pain – as I stand here beneath the rain

Waiting for the stillness of time that won’t arrive

And surprisingly, I remember a happier time

When trees had color and the sky shined

And I can breathe again – with sadness behind

And there’s no more sorrow – at least until tomorrow?
