Untitled

JunusScarin

The sky seems so close I feel I could almost touch the sun
But the earth always intervenes and pulls me back into its atmosphere
Where you and everyone else sit waiting
And my responsibilities and relationships are like anchors pulled behind me
And I'm still dragging around the rotting corpse of childhood and innocence that used to be a part of me but they gave up a while ago

It still smells like moonlight and dust motes in my bedroom
So somber that sometimes even I give into the feelings that excreted from its walls tangle around my legs and pull my feet out from under me
And you still look like a sunbeam bouncing off the highly reflective silver surface that is the apple of my eye
