Death Of The Immortal Man

The New Cry Atlantic

I envied her,
Gave my soul to keep a smile in her life.

All i ever wanted was her company,
Someone to help save me from this life.

She found me troubled,
I adored her bravery.

The kiss of death in my left hand.

An accompanied path to heaven in my right.

Making the wrong title for myself,
Just to keep the place i called home.

She took my hands,
Removed the hate with ease.

With no remorse she kissed my scars,
A ever so gentle touch eased the tension from my body.

She smoked the fire in my eyes,
With no waver in her step.

Then watched me,
As i walked away from from the brave side.

Encasing my fight and ego deep inside,
I fell into a more gentle lifestyle short of violence.

With her by my side,
I hoped i was safe.

I was wrong.

She grew to hate who i was,
Became tired of everything i chose to be for her.

She had found comfort in the arms of another,
And the heart she had once been had no longer survived.

Then she walked away,
Leaving me suffering and ready to die.

So once again i stuck the steel in my mouth,
Saying goodbye as i laid my finger on the trigger.

Nothing but silence surrounded me...

Then it happened.

The wall i stored all my long forgotten hate in broke,
Filling my head with thoughts of your death.

I once cried at the thought of you leaving,
I once begged for you to stay.

Now i warn you,
You are not safe...

I will not hunt,
I will not search.

But if you notice me in the crowd,
I suggest you turn around.

Because i am back,
I am who i was once again.

He will not save you,
They cannot protect you.
