i genuinely think I fell in love with you
Your smile your eyes your hair your personality
Your you.
Maybe in another life or under different circumstances I could call myself yours
But regardless I'm glad I have you in my life
I enjoy making you smile and laugh
It makes me feel like in your life with so many negatives I can be a positive
As though to you I matter
Just the feeling of you being present accompanied by a smile fills me with self worth
Of accomplishment
As though your smile in my eyes has more worth than my life itself
I feel the urge and need to protect you
So naive, innocent, easily used
I will be your guardian
Your knight in shining armor with you as my queen
I will protect you always
