Just Like That

Michelle Syd

You flipped a switch just like that,

Where is the you I knew?

Has that always been you...

Apparently I just didn't see until you tore me to pieces, so small..

How was it to feel strong,

By hurting me all along,

Leaving was my only resolve. ❤

Great poem. It brought me into the words as if i was reading a note laying by a missing pillow. To take the readers to such a place is art. You consider an artist...

WELCOME MICHELLE ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ straight from your broken heart. Being a TEEN and growing up in the 21st C is not easy and falling in (and out) of Love is often the hardest part. Personally (I work with 16 ~ 25's in a Vocational College) I think it's harder for Girls than Boys because God wired you more sensitively ! I like you attitude about NOT taking emotional abuse ~ which is the right advice as a "Potential Counselor" Every Blessing ~ Yours BRIAN
