HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY ?

BRIAN & ANGELA

An OPTIMIST and a PESSIMIST

Were drinkin' in Paddy's Bar

I'm enjoyin' me drink ~ said MICK with a wink

This GUINNESS is well above par !

Mine isn't said PAT my GUINNESS is flat

And its warm and its cloudy and wet

And now my glass is half empty

This is my worstest  pint yet !

They both had the same pint of GUINNESS that day

From ONE barrel the Barmaid did pull

PAT'S was half empty an' hes moanin' plenty

While MICK'S was like nectar ~ half full !

Different out look on life ~ PAT hated his Wife

While MICK thought that his was a JEWEL !

OPTIMIST ~ PESSIMIST ~ which one are you

Is you life NICE or DAMN CRUEL ?

A sound piece of advice wrapped up in a linguistic parcel of humour -- a read to give thought to and thanks Brian for sharing this gem.

my dad once showed me a glass and asked me what it was. i said what do you mean? he said what is it? i said a glass half full of water. later he told me about the glass half empty/full story and he said that he wanted to know how I thought πŸ˜€ great write to remind us to look on the sunny side of life🌞

                  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks JANE your Dad was very wise to introduce you to the concept. When i comment on a New Member to MPS I always encourage them and praise the good points ~ there are always some ! Because I am a Teacher I could equally be negative and point out lack of rhyme and rhythm and mistakes in grammar and spelling which might cause them to drop out ! I always try to see the good in People and Poets. "Always look on the Sunny Side of Life" ~ Hugs ~ BRIAN
