Why

Turvy__Topsy

Hands that once held

yours are now empty.

The bed cold, sheets

tangled. I don't understand

why

you left so fast,

taking everything that I had.

Smiles danced and then left

your eyes, knowing things I

didn't.

Our last touch felt

like the last,

fast paced, my legs clenched

around your waist, holding

you

as your lips brushed

mine, your eyes darkened,

glancing at the tear on

my cheek; you dried it without

love,

without asking the reason.

My mind and body go

numb as you broke our hold,

my heart, your promise, and

me.
