For the love of the game

Bay Wright

For the love of the game,
We'd show up 3 extra hours early
Get our reps in the cage. Stretch out all of our worries.
Laugh and make a joke out of everything
Until the other team showed up for the game.
Then we'd put on our uniforms like battle armour.
Tell each other we got this, that we've been workin harder.
Have a team prayer before we take the field.
Play the national anthem watch the ballpark yield.
Some traditions just don't ever change
And we did it all
For the love of the game
