Footprints

Footprints

On the ground the footprints lie,

Followed by those who want to try.

Playing a dangerous game, they are,

For it is sure to leave a skinny scar.

Her footprints use them as a fool,

Why do they still think they look cool?

You think they would eventually give in,

But instead they’ll be vanished for their sin.

I, a fool, followed her footprints far and wide,

Now no one else stands by my side.

I followed her footprints gleaming with hope,

Now I fall down an endless slope.

You there, my friend, remember this

or she will seduce you with her gentle kiss.

Love yourself, whatever size,

Or you’ll be starving to your own demise.
