Born Into Progress

The New Cry Atlantic

It seems its always too late.

Too late to learn,
Too late to live.

Time has never been with me.

Once again i find myself with far to much to accomplish,
And so minimal time to do it in.
I have never longed for more before.

Watch me as i leave.

Surreal as it is there is no escaping the changes to come,
As i watch the life ive made quickly fade into something new.
Almost like my fate changed into peaceful desires

Don't cry when i say goodbye.

This has always been what ive wanted,
I never thought i would have this chance.
Im hoping i can be who i aspire to be.

Keep me in your prayers.

Progress has never been there for me,
I have always struggled to keep the world in front of me.
I am doing this for my sake.

Ill be a better man.

Know im doing this to better my life.
Maybe along the way in this journey to learn,
Ill learn how to be the man you wanted to love.

I love you.

I hope one day i can be who i want to be,
And live the life i want to live.

I hope you watch me be happy for once.
Don't worry, ill see you all again soon.

Thank you.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hello all, I know it has been quite a while since ive written anything and the reason being is that I have been in the progress of packing, I am currently working on leaving for school in a couple weeks so that I may finally start bettering my life, this write is not really good and I know this, I more opened my note pad and started writing so i'm sorry if this write has no flow or sense at all, it was really just me scribbling. I hope you have a good day.
