Please Laugh Along With Me Tonight.

kevin browne

whisper someone in my ear loud and clear, my dear
from when I fell asleep and fell in love with what I hear
never gone unnoticed as I dried out my eyes once more
this world in another dreamt a dream, did wonder what it was
seemed unreal watching some stranger untie my life
bend to make it right did your bow come undone last night
rippling right through the undercurrent of all your heartening beats
I uncovered you in some smiles which unveiled but not in this life
protection calmed into wearing you in my mind and in my heart it did
I bewildered us joking aloud will you please laugh along with me tonight
we promised confidence how to teach each other not to fall apart
distance falls in some undiscovered valleys in our veins full of heaven
kissed me with a gem failing to be seen, recognised and untested
let finding somewhere only we know is a place for loving hearts
ending up in our gardens in which all who says is where it all starts.
