Next We Meet

Dakotah Lavender

I cut my hair, an extension of sorrow I rid.

I loved you so, why'd you have to go?

Selfish of me leaving, not a farewell did I bid.

How can I forgive myself, I do not know.

Unable to tell you how I loved you before..

I'm sorry, I love you, I admit my defeat.

Then listen to your stories as I did once more.

Hopeful for your forgiveness next we meet.
