I Wonder.

Fay Slimm.

I Wonder.

Then as we tightened the
knots of love,
earth underneath us and
sky above,
we decided to prove, in
fate's twilight
love's maturing delights,
you and I.
But we were to lose dual's
new-found bliss,
and with you no longer here
and me still
grieving on earth and in tears
I wonder why.

  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks FAY for sharing your "pain of lost love" in the context of such an elegant poem. Every sensual relationship we have makes ud better for it but worse ~ when it comes to an end. So at all stages in our lives we can empathise. In the case and DS & Yourself ~ where it the end of a long loving and happy marriage that must in essence be impossible to bear. When you share the agony of lost love in a Poem we do absorb with you some of the pain but the majority must always lie with you. There is no answer ~ The LORD gives and (for one partner) the LORD takes away. However if we do have Faith of a reunion in Glory with our loved ones who have gone before ~ it can (so I am told) make the inevitable period of bereavement more bearable. Thinking of you and praying for you (and DS as well !) Yours B.
