I Could Dream But,

lovelydarkanddeep

I dreamt of her longing for me and waking, desiring my company

Planning what she would do, when she saw me next.

I saw her again, and watched her eyes gliding down upon me, with avidity

I spent the night with her,

Tangled in her bed,

The chill of the draft from the vents amplifying our heated breath,

Sounds streaming from her lips, echoing through the walls,

Her natural, wavy hair sticking to her spine, sweats' doing

Racing fingers down her arching back,

As her calls, swelling my ears

Her expressions and pleading eyes, telling me stories

No minute in the dark of night wasted or untouched,

Her smooth fingers etching hungry words on my skin

Letting her make me sing her favorite song; over and over again

Until we were together, gasping for air

We stopped at our end, breathing life back into each other

More treasure waiting to be discovered again tomorrow
