Hole

askipio

Waking up in the morning,

Not wide awake, not quite

Sees the sun shining,

It isn't as bright

Feeling the fresh breeze,

But something isn't right

Even the food doesn't please

So only a single bite

Under no physical stress,

But limbs ache, like a fight

Can't walk straight, thoughts a mess

The escape I seek, out of sight

And here comes the night,

Only in my dreams

I find peace, I am in flight

I see the people I love

I see the places I love

And after waking up

I see the hole in my life

Where things should've been

Where you should've been

And now, I wait

Not desperately, but patiently

Everyday, I wait for you

For you, to come fill my hole
