Answers to Questions Seldom Asked

John Snowdon

Are we cursed or blessed?

       Lost or found,

       Free or bound,

Are we more when less?

Is this a path or road?

     Damascus or Sodom,

     Remembered or forgotten,

Or just some old tale retold?

Do we bask in sunshine?

     Sought or claimed,

   Unfettered or untamed,

Given to another or yet still mine?

And should such barriers be breached?

     Starved or fed,

     Preserved or dead,

Save for some remedy still unreached?

Are we blessed or cursed

Debt or gift,

Bond or rift,

Are we better now or worse?

A fine write. Some say 'Good old days'. Some say 'Bad old days', etc. My question seldom, or often asked, is: Why is abbreviation such a long word?! Why not call it 'abb'?! I will go back to sleep now. lol.

Good write. Do any of us know if we are better or worse?

Your questions are more than normally asked as terse line unfolds reasons why the final stanza asks "are we blessed or cursed" - food for thought indeed John. Good write.
