The invisible Civil War

Kodster

The Civil War rages

but no one tries to stop it,

The bullets fly,

But no one seems to care

There's no bombs but explosions,

Shrapnel piercing through the walls,

The rebel army advances,

Ripping and destroying everything in it's path,

Apparently this is what i created,

They say i caused all this pain

Then why don't they save me from myself?

If only you could see,

What this wars doing to me

Then maybe you'll realise im not okay

The destructions not visible

It doesn't mean it's pretend

You can't hear the damaging chants of the advancin army,

That doesn't mean they're silent

I can't speak to you,  i pretend you don't exist

That doesnt mean I don't love you

Maybe i just need you to love me

Maybe I don't want you caught in the crossfire between pain and self loathing

Maybe I don't want you to see the real me,

Just please don't leave

If only you could see,

What this war's doing to me

Maybe you'll realise my smile is fake
