That moment, the moment.
My heart sunk, to a place that was unreachable. The tone of her soft voice that was usually full of life. It informed me of so much more than I wanted to know. Time slowed, stopped even. All I could hear was my heart beat in rythm with the words \"Not Guilty\" that hesitantly escaped her mouth.
Everything around me was clouded by an ominous fog, I couldn\'t think, speak, breathe. It was suffocating me. Those two words so harmless when separated, life shattering when together.
That moment, the moment.
It meant my life will be lived in fear, this hour in disappointment, this second in indescribable sadness.
All from those two words that 12 people decided, was now my life.
