Had to go under the knife
Guess it\'s just part of life
My absence was in the hospital stay
I can tell you, I feel better today
Missing out on summer is the worst part
Not lazing down the river breaks my heart
Missing the sand and also the sun
Watching everyone else have all the fun
Somewhere I have found more meaning
In the everyday ups and downs
I\'m seeing more of the positives
And I\'m feeling less reasons to frown
Hopefully I\'ll be back soon gushing about my heart
Not back to 100% but this is a start
I thank you for your patience during these past days
My lack of poems isn\'t just a phase
