Sanddune Solitude

She was heading for the sanddunes

Tumbling she fell

He smiled as he took notice

His gaze did not intend to dwell

It lingered on her face

Her enchanted eyes

Were listening to the ocean

He stood and watched her rise

Casting forth a blanket

Throwing aside her shoes

Opening up a flask of tea

Readying herself to lose

Swaying with the ocean

Fingers caress the sandbed

He ventures a little closer

As he sees those green eyes a tear shed

It paints a line across her cheek

Spelling out her emptiness

More fall and mark her bed of sand

As she begins to undress

He knows his gaze

Should leave her be

Or at least come forth

And let her see
