The day had passed by quickly,
But slowed into a crawl.
The sun said a last goodnight,
Casting shadows on the wall.
The night time passed by slowly.
It was finally time for bed.
It had become the worst time of all,
The time I had learned to dread.
I could no longer reach to touch you,
Darkness replaced your smile.
Silence replaced your laughter,
That entertained me for a while.
Memories are all that still remain,
I still visualize your face.
It is never really gone,
Because I see it everyplace.
Now things are getting better,
And I seldom ever cry.
And now I only miss you,
On days that end in \"Y\".
