Tune: St Cuthbert
(\'Our blest Redeemer, ere He breathed\')
*********
To follow Christ\'s humility
Lord, this my prayer it be
Forgive where pride and arrogance
In me you sense
Help me not judge, but leave to you
For your judgement be true
But human wisdom it may fail
And not prevail
With grace we pray our attitude
Be humble, not harsh, rude
But seeking to show of our Lord
The living Word
So shall His image from us shine
He human and divine
His Spirit dwelling in our hearts
Fills us, all parts
And thus to serve our fellow man
Give us strength, so we can
In serving man, so do we do
Serve you anew
Rewards you give to humble, meek
Those who your face do seek
Yet may we you e\'er glorify
And know you nigh
