My brush scratches carelessly around the paper
Colours bleed into each other
Trying again to capture
Something gentle, something softer
My eyes peer unforgiving into the river
Shades fade to dark
Trying again to see
Something light, the smallest spark
Your letters type leerily on to the screen
Feeling meaning mixed up crossed out
Trying again to make plain
Nothing now, rivers drought
Our brush cannot of Beauty speak
My ugly tears broke our Canvas long ago
Nevermore shall I seek
A Beauty I can never know
