Dogs

• All of them go to heaven or so I have been told

Some silly, ecstatic, others are protective and bold

• Such a pure soul and undying loyalty

When they pass, we cry and want to escape reality

• We don’t deserve their love, loyalty or company

They don’t deserve sadness nor pain and it’s easy to see

• If I had one I would never get anything done

Because I give it all my love and it still wouldn’t be enough

• As I said they deserve everything besides this worlds sadness

To hear some are abused is beyond madness

• Armed with nothing but a tail and a beautiful smile

If their love was measured it would miles upon miles

• They probably deserve to be in the wild somewhere on a log

For humanity doesn’t deserve the companion that is dog
