Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX JOHN DENVER was born in ROSWELL NEW MEXICO in 1943. His Dad was in the AIR FORCE and they moved round a lot so he became shy and introspective. He spent a lot of time in the Forests & Hills which is reflected in his music. He studied Architecture @ Texas University but dropped out to concentrate on Music singing with Close Harmony Groups in the 1960\'s. He went solo in 1969 and his first Album for RCA VICTOR sold 20 million copies. It included his great hit FLYING ON A JET PLANE. He married his Wife ANNIE in 1967 and they adopted two Children. He loved Sking ~ Golf and He was a a keen Aviator. He was a Philantropist and supported Conservation and the Plight of the American Indian. He changed his name to John Denver ~ Capital of his beloved COLORADO. He lived in ASPEN COLORADO most of his life. He died testing an Experimental Plane in 1997 ~ He was only 53. RIP ~ JOHN
