Moonroof
I often wonder about you -
 That summer we spent long ago;
 When we would drive into the warm night,
 With no destination,
 You opened the sunroof (or moonroof) of your car -
 The blue of the moon flooding in;
 I looked up into infinity -
 And I pointed out the constellations to you as you laughed;
 \"I\'m driving, I can\'t look right now...\"
 You said \"let me show you one of my favorite places\"
 We parked on top of a hill and looked at the city lights,
 Pulsing with hope - a bouquet of dreams -
 But soon to fade;
 For those caught between neon and the heavens.
