A Cabin In Alaska
I’d cut down all the needed wood
And build a cabin if I could
It would be my gift to you
And be our dream coming true
Alaska would be the place to be
With its land so pristine
And plenty room to enjoy
Our family of girls and boys
We would fish there many days
For fresh trout we would bake
And be careful with hungry bears
Fishing too for their fare
We’d store the extra fish we caught
Up high from bears close a lot
And teach the kids they could be
Providers for our family
Spring would mean other things
Like reward for those laboring
And the kids all would learn
All good things must be earned
We’ll also play in the sun
Happy that spring has finally come
With plenty hours of light each day
Ample time to work and play
