There by the pool of Bethesda
In Jerusalem, water stir
At seasons, and an angel moved
Them, healing for folk it sure proved
For who was first of sick or lame
Or blind, paralysed, whate\'er name
If they first stepped then in the pool
They were made whole and restored full
Certain man had infirmity
Thirty eight years long, so it be
When Jesus saw him,that he lay
There, then He did unto Him say
Said, \'Will you be made whole?\' be so
Yet the man\'s years state He did know
The man said, \'Sir, I have no one
To put me in pool\', all is done
For another steps in before
Me, then they are healed, it is sure
When angel troubles the waters
Makes it swirl as he then it stirs
Jesus said to him, \'Rise and take
Up your bed, and walk\', it no fake
Though opposition, sabbath day
But love, compassion, wins alway
Jesus did later the man find
In the temple, and true and kind
Said, \'Behold you are whole, and so
Sin no more, lest worse things you know\'
