Tree Ducks
I took a walk in the city park
And saw ducks in a tree
Their web feet on the bark
Very surprising to me
To see them there was exciting
And was a real delight
As they were brand new to me
And not previously identified
There were two at my home
That soon came every day
To eat my scattered pone
In the afternoon quite late
Before long there were many
At the pone each time I looked
And they ate while I was sitting
With handfuls that they took
My next walk at the city park
I saw the others again
And I knew them as tree ducks
And the name befitted them
