You blesséd souls, take your repose
Each of you the Lord knows
\'Til waking to eternal dawn
Of resurrection morn
For you were faithful, you believed
Christ as Saviour received
We who now living, believe same
Have trusted in Christ\'s name
You shall not lose any reward
You the Lord loved, adored
We shall join too, departed [ones] meet
And worship at God\'s feet
Not dark nor gloom, nor mystified
Though you passed on, have died
But wait to wake to eternal
Day, and to blessings full
We pray not for dead, purgatory
Alien concept be
\'Tis enough while they lived, they fared
In Christ\'s salvation shared
We remember them, penitent
Forgiven, repentant
And each we need to Christ receive
And in Him to believe
No spookiness or ghostliness
They simply did confess
Christ Jesus as their Saviour, King
Did to Him worship bring
They safe from harm, God\'s keeping power
Defends them every hour
No powers of hell can them o\'ertake
God does not them forsake
Then all in earth and heaven shall be
Ever with the Lord see
