WIND BLOWN TREE
There is a tree
that is now lying face down
a woodwreck
abandoned by the sky
its roots torn out
left to the outside world
where pollution will eat
away the tendrils and
veins
and the tree scape is less
and the woodland floor is less
and the sky is less
and the clouds are less
and the sunlight is less
and the night is more.
