Fairy-tale

If I\'m a pig,
I guess they\'re the wolves,
Huffing and puffing,
To blow my house in.

If I\'m a princess,
I guess they\'re the tower,
Holding me captive,
Locked deep within.

If I\'m a hare,
I guess they\'re the tortoise,
Beating me easily,
No matter what.

If I\'m a knight ,
I guess they\'re a dragon,
Breathing their fire,
Bright, burning hot.

If I\'m a spider,
I guess theyre miss muffet,
Stuffing their faces,
Then running from me.

If I\'m lost in the woods,
I guess they\'re the witches,
Tempting me closer,
Then gobbling with glee.

If I\'m a sheep,
I guess they\'re the master,
Shaving me mercilessly,
Dishing out my wool.

If I\'m a bear,
I guess they\'re goldilocks,
Breaking in, stealing,
Taking me for a fool.

If I\'m a mattress,
I guess they\'re the pea,
Poking me annoyingly,
All through the night.

If I\'m a soldier,
I guess they\'re the king,
Sending me ahead of them,
To die in a fight.

If I\'m a beast,
I guess they\'re the rose,
Smugly dropping petals,
Reminding me of failure.

If I\'m a ship,
I guess they\'re rough seas,
Battering and bruising,
Throwing away my sailors.

If I\'m a mouse,
I guess they\'re the farmers wife,
Ignoring my blindness,
Chopping bits off.

If I\'m a bridge,
I guess they\'re the troll,
Lurking beneath,
To eat all that cross.

If I\'m the spout,
I guess they\'re the spider,
Creeping and crawling,
No matter how I push down.

If I\'m a mermaid,
I guess they\'re the sea witch,
Stealing my voice,
So I cant make a sound.

If I\'m a baby,
I guess they\'re the bow,
Breaking beneath me,
While I try to sleep.

If I\'m doctor foster,
I guess they\'re the puddle,
Tricking me to jump,
Then pulling me deep.

If I\'m a girl,
I guess they\'re the stigma,
\"be pretty and thin\",
Without makeup or diets.

If I\'m a boy,
I guess they\'re more stigma,
\"be macho and hardcore\",
Without causing riots.

If I\'m a Bible,
I guess they\'re religious bans,
Burning me up,
Letting no one come near.

If I\'m a nation,
I guess they\'re another,
Waging war for no reason,
Filling innocents with fear.

If I\'m the earth,
I guess they\'re the humans,
Spoiling my body,
Taking me for granted.

And if I\'m a person,
I guess they\'re other people,
Judging and frowning,
With minds disenchanted.

So if I\'m just a person,
And you are one too,
Why must we all wrestle,
And make life so tough.

Stop judging other people,
Squinting in distaste,
Let them live their fairy-tale,
Enough is enough.
