In Judah is God known, He be
King in royal state, now see
His name is great in Israel
Come, let all the peoples tell
In Jerusalem His tent be
Tabernacle, firm, truly
In mount Zion is His dwelling
He Lord over everything
There He broke the weapons of war
Violence and oppression sore
Bow and shield and sword and battle
At His command they cease all
You O LORD are more glorious
Than the mountains, us do bless
The stout-hearted are spoilt, they sleep
They did not pray, nor watch keep
And men of might did not prevail
Their works were of no avail
At your rebuke, God of Israel
You triumphed o\'er Egypt all
For they [Egyptians] the Red Sea did not cross
But were plundered, suffered loss
Your people [Israelites] did go through, dry land
You made the sea by your hand (Spirit)
